Royall Natural Landscapes is a Cornwall-based landscaping and garden design practice led by Pro Landscaper’s 30 Under 30 award winner, Ed Royall.

We create gardens and landscapes that work with nature, not against it. Our approach combines ecological and naturalistic horticultural methods with heritage crafts such as Cornish stone hedging and hedge laying.

Each project is rooted in its setting, designed to thrive in the landscape while reflecting the people who care for it. From small gardens to larger natural landscapes, we bring spaces to life with purpose, texture and biodiversity.

Ed Royall

Ed grew up in St Ives, west Cornwall. He began his career in the study of ecology and working on high-end gardens in London, where he learnt the value of detail and craftsmanship.

Returning to Cornwall, he's focused on creating landscapes that connect people with nature and place. Alongside his design and build work, Ed continues to learn and adapt his skills to be able to deliver a premier service.

Ed is a proffessional in Cornish Hedging, a critically endangered craft of drystone walling which is native to Cornwall for over 4000 years. he mixes this practice with other rural crafts such as hedgelaying and coppice weaving which helps to keep local traditional heritage alive.
